Our Consultants are hands-on technical experts who advise businesses on new technologies that impact, improve, remove risk, lower downtime, enhance security and grow the business. Our Consultants develop and maintain a professional relationship with our customer base and are called on for a multitude of client issues. Consultants are recognized for their ability to quickly assess, identify and recommend improvements and/or opportunities that are consistent with customer needs including projects, additional regularly scheduled maintenance hours, and extended services. Maintaining accurate and thorough customer site documentation and submitting detailed records is of utmost importance to the position. Our Consultants provide optimal technical solutions in a timely manner and ensure business critical systems are up and running continuously.
Requirements:
Our Consultants should have a minimum of 4 years of demonstrated, reliable knowledge and experience in network engineering or IT technology including 2 years of consulting experience in a technology environment.
Technical skills:
Must be an expert on one or more of the following operating systems:
-Windows XP/Vista, Windows 2003/2008 Server
-Linux or Solaris
-Citrix Presentation Server. XenDesktop or XenServer
-Mac OS 9 & X
Strong working knowledge of LAN/WAN technology including:
-TCP/IP (routers, configuration and setup)
-Security (firewalls – Cisco, 3Com, Zywall, Sonic Wall, Watchguard), Virus Protection Software (e-mail, server and client)
-Network management (switches, hubs, fiber-optic, cabling, packet sniffing)
Education & Experience:
-BS/BE or equivalent experience and training required
-CCEA, MCSE and/or MCSA certification preferred
Must be available during regular business hours.
Must have reliable transportation.
